KEC International has announced new orders worth ₹1,040 crore in its Transmission and Distribution (T&D) segment, secured from international markets. The orders include contracts for supplying towers, hardware, and poles to clients in the Americas and constructing 220 kV transmission lines in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region.
The company reported that its year-to-date order intake has surpassed ₹17,300 crore, reflecting a 75% increase compared to the same period last year.
For the second quarter ending September 30, 2024, KEC International recorded a net profit of ₹85.4 crore, a 53% rise compared to ₹55.8 crore in the same quarter the previous year. Revenue from operations increased by 13.7% to ₹5,113.3 crore, while EBITDA grew by 16.7% to ₹320.2 crore. The company’s EBITDA margin rose to 6.3%, up from 6.1% a year earlier.
KEC International also reported a reduction in net debt by ₹1,074 crore, bringing it to ₹5,265 crore as of September 30, 2024. Net working capital days improved slightly to 130 days, and interest expenses as a percentage of revenue declined to 3.3% from 4.0%.
The company attributed its improved performance to a strong order pipeline and operational efficiencies. KEC International is currently executing projects in over 30 countries and maintains a presence in more than 110 countries. It operates across sectors such as Power Transmission & Distribution, Civil, Railways, Urban Infrastructure, Renewables, Oil & Gas Pipelines, and Cables.
