SolarEdge Technologies, a provider of smart energy technology, has expanded its operations in India with the opening of a new research and development (R&D) and Technology Center in Bengaluru. The facility is intended to support product development, technical operations, and engineering activities for the Indian photovoltaic (PV) sector.
The company stated that the center will also strengthen local support and enable collaboration with partners, distributors, and customers in India. “With the launch of our new R&D and Technology Center, we are not only investing in infrastructure but also in talent and innovation that will drive the next phase of solar growth in the region,” said Sanjay Puri, Country Manager of SolarEdge India.
According to SolarEdge, the Bengaluru facility will contribute to the company’s global innovation efforts while focusing on the specific requirements of the Indian market.
SolarEdge established its Indian office in 2017. The company offers PV inverters, power optimisers, storage systems, and a cloud-based monitoring platform for residential, commercial, and small utility-scale solar installations.
