Kalyani Cast Tech Limited has outlined significant expansion plans for the coming years, including the development of a cargo rail terminal, new manufacturing units, and increased production capacity. The company also reported an order book valued at INR 1.1 billion for the financial year 2025-26, with INR 310 million worth of work already completed in the first two months of the year.

The company has acquired 115 acres of land near a port to set up new facilities in phases. These developments will include a Gati Shakti Cargo Rail Terminal, for which in-principle approval has been received from Indian Railways and a detailed project report has been submitted. A wagon manufacturing unit with an annual capacity of 7,500 to 8,000 units is also under construction.

Kalyani Cast Tech is further expanding its container manufacturing capacity to 10,000 containers annually, increasing total production to 16,000 TEUs, including existing capacity. Additional planned facilities include the manufacturing of refrigerated containers, a steel foundry for bogies, couplers, and wheel sets, and ancillary units for wagons and containers. The capital expenditure for these projects will be funded through internal resources, equity, debt, and foreign direct investment.

For the financial year 2024-25, Kalyani Cast Tech reported total income of INR 1398.87 million, up from INR 951.14 million in the previous year. EBITDA rose to INR 202.9 million from INR 141.3 million, and profit before tax increased to INR 190.7 million from INR 131.7 million. Earnings per share improved to INR 19.84 from INR 16.43 in the previous year.

Major clients during the year included DP World, CJDARCL, Pristine Logistics, Navkar Corporation, Mazagon Dock Limited, Western Carrier (India) Limited, Glasswing Private Limited, NTPC, and NPCIL.

Kalyani Cast Tech Limited, established in 2014, initially operated as a steel foundry with Indian Railways as its primary customer. In 2021, the company diversified into container manufacturing and has since produced over 13,000 containers. The company focuses on designing and manufacturing special containers to optimize transportation costs.
