Avantel Limited, a communications manufacturer, has received a purchase order valued at INR 13.67 crore, inclusive of taxes, from the Defence Electronics Applications Laboratory (DEAL), a unit under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The order pertains to the development of Software Defined Radios (SDRs) and is scheduled to be executed by August 2027.
According to the company, the order includes a requirement for a performance bank guarantee of 3 percent. The purchase order was issued by a domestic entity, and there is no related party involvement or promoter interest in the awarding organisation.
Avantel Limited, established in 1990, is an Indian company engaged in the design, development, and manufacturing of wireless communication products, satellite communication systems, and software solutions for defence and other industrial applications.
