Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has entered into a partnership with Tivolt Electric Vehicles, a subsidiary of TI Clean Mobility and part of the Murugappa Group, to expand electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure for commercial vehicles in India. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) formalizing this collaboration was signed on December 11, 2024 by Saju Nair, CEO, Tivolt Electric Vehicles and Virendra Goyal, Head BD EV charging, TPREL, in the presence of Shivram Bikkina, Chief – Solar Rooftop & EV charging business, TPREL.

As part of the agreement, TPREL will leverage its existing expertise in EV charging solutions to deploy charging stations at Tivolt dealerships, customer sites, and high-traffic public locations. Tivolt, which focuses on small and light electric commercial vehicles under its Montra Electric brand, aims to enhance charging accessibility for its customers.

TPREL has an established network of over 100,000 home chargers, more than 6,500 public and fleet charging points, and 1,100 bus charging stations across 530 cities in India. The company plans to integrate renewable energy solutions, such as solar power, at Tivolt dealerships and customer locations to reduce charging costs and environmental impact.
