Re Sustainability and Recycling Private Limited (ReSRL), a subsidiary of Re Sustainability Limited (ReSL), and Aarti Circularity Limited (ACL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Aarti Industries Limited (AIL), have announced a joint venture to establish Plastic Materials Recycling Facilities (PMRFs) in India.

The joint venture aims to develop infrastructure for recycling plastic waste and converting it into Advanced Circular Materials (ACM) that can be used as raw materials, fuels, or recycled polymer feedstock. The companies plan to achieve a minimum resource recovery capacity of approximately 500 tons per day by 2030. The facilities will process various waste streams, including those from ReSL’s existing operations, to enhance material and energy recovery.

The first facility under this partnership will be set up in Hyderabad, Telangana. The joint venture will evaluate and engage technology partners to operate the PMRFs, with a focus on adopting advanced recycling technologies.

Masood Mallick, Managing Director and CEO of Re Sustainability, stated that the partnership combines expertise in waste management and chemical manufacturing to build recycling infrastructure aimed at addressing plastic waste challenges. Mirik Gogri, Director of Aarti Circularity Limited, noted that the initiative aligns with ACL’s objective of promoting a circular economy by reducing waste and reliance on virgin resources.

Re Sustainability Limited provides environmental management services across multiple countries, including India, Singapore, and the United States. Aarti Industries Limited specializes in specialty chemicals and supplies global and domestic markets.

According to the companies, the joint venture is expected to contribute to advancements in plastic recycling and waste management in India.
