LATI and LOXIM have announced the formation of LATI-LOXIM Thermoplastics Private Limited, a joint venture (JV) focused on the engineering plastics market in India. The new entity was established following the spin-off of LOXIM’s Engineering Compounds division. The collaboration aims to address demand in sectors including electrical and electronics, household appliances, automotive, and e-mobility.
The JV will combine LATI’s expertise in high-performance technopolymers with LOXIM’s local manufacturing capacity and established market presence. LOXIM currently operates an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons at its Sanand facility in Gujarat. LATI-LOXIM Thermoplastics will use this facility to manufacture and supply products across India.
“We are proud to embark on this journey with LOXIM. This joint venture is born from a deep alignment of values: attention to people, work ethic, innovation spirit, and sustainability. By combining our technical expertise with a solid local production presence, we will be able to offer advanced solutions with the same level of quality and service that has always set us apart,” said Michela Conterno, CEO of LATI.
“At LOXIM, we place great importance on building relationships that go beyond business. What makes this joint venture with LATI truly special is the strong personal connection and the deep alignment of values we share—a commitment to integrity, innovation, sustainability, and people. It’s a partnership built on mutual respect and trust, and we are excited to bring globally benchmarked solutions closer to the Indian market through this shared vision,” said Canon Patel, Managing Director of LOXIM.
The new company will establish a dedicated technical laboratory and deploy local resources to support the development of customized projects for the Indian market.
LATI, founded in Italy in 1945, produces engineering thermoplastics and operates in over 30 countries, supplying products for the electrical, appliance, automotive, and industrial sectors.
