SANY India, a construction equipment manufacturer, has opened a new manufacturing facility within its 90-acre campus in Pune, increasing its production capacity and fabrication capabilities. According to the company, the factory can produce over 14,000 units annually and has a fabrication capacity exceeding 100,000 metric tons per year. This expansion aims to support the growing demand for construction, mining, and energy equipment in India and abroad.
The facility incorporates advanced manufacturing technologies and processes to streamline operations and reduce production timelines. The company stated that the expanded facility aligns with its efforts to enhance localization and export capacity as part of its broader strategy for India.
Xiang Wenbo, Chairman of SANY Group, highlighted the facility’s role in strengthening SANY’s global operations and meeting market demands. “This new factory represents a significant step forward in our commitment to delivering precision-engineered products,” he said at the inauguration ceremony in Pune.
Deepak Garg, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of SANY India, emphasized the facility’s alignment with the “Make in India” initiative, which promotes local manufacturing and exports. Garg added that the new facility enhances SANY India’s ability to support infrastructure projects in key markets while boosting local production.
The company also noted its established presence in India, which includes a network of 42 dealers and 260 service touchpoints. Since its entry into the Indian market, SANY India has delivered over 35,000 machines, contributing to infrastructure development projects across the region.
SANY India’s product portfolio spans a wide range of machinery, including excavators, cranes, piling rigs, and mining equipment. The company sees infrastructure development initiatives in India as an opportunity for further growth in the market.
