Latecoere India has expanded its production footprint for the Dassault F8X program, initiating the production of Wave 3 transfer on February 17, 2025. This development follows the company’s ongoing collaboration with its Fouchana and Central teams.
Latecoere’s presence in India began with the inauguration of a 4,400-square-meter manufacturing plant in Belagavi, Karnataka, in September 2019. The facility was established to produce radio navigation harnesses for the Falcon 2000 aircraft and was projected to employ over 300 people by 2022.
The Belagavi plant is part of the Aequs Special Economic Zone (SEZ), which hosts various aerospace manufacturing units. Initially, production commenced in a 1,300-square-meter unit in the third quarter of 2018, with plans to expand to the larger facility.
Latecoere’s expansion in India aligns with its “Transformation 2020” plan, aiming to optimize industrial infrastructure and ensure operational excellence.
The company’s collaboration with major aerospace entities, including Dassault Aviation and Thales, underscores its commitment to supporting global aerospace manufacturing and contributing to the local aerospace ecosystem in India.
