Micromax Informatics has announced its entry into the renewable energy sector with the launch of Startup Energy, a new venture focused on solar panel manufacturing. The company plans to produce high-efficiency solar panels for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

As part of this initiative, Micromax has signed a contract with China-based Jinchen for the phased deployment of a 5GW advanced solar module manufacturing line. The project will be implemented in multiple phases, incorporating automation and high-efficiency module production technologies.

The company also plans to establish a manufacturing facility equipped with automated systems and precision engineering. Additionally, Startup Energy will explore research and development partnerships to advance solar technology and improve energy efficiency.

Micromax Managing Director Rajesh Agarwal stated that the company aims to provide cost-effective and accessible clean energy solutions for both individuals and businesses.

The move aligns with India’s broader clean energy initiatives as the country continues to expand its renewable energy infrastructure.
