Siemens Energy’s global head, Christina Schulte-Kutsch, recently visited India to review the company’s manufacturing operations and expansion efforts across multiple locations, including Kalwa, Vadodara, Naroda, and Gurgaon.

In Kalwa, Schulte-Kutsch examined the ongoing expansion of the Transformers factory, which serves both domestic and international markets. The visit included a review of production capabilities and workforce integration, including the first batch of women working on the shop floor.

At the Vadodara facility, she observed manufacturing processes and engaged with employees during the annual Family Day event, which acknowledges the workforce’s contributions.

In Naroda, Schulte-Kutsch assessed Siemens Energy’s compressor manufacturing operations, which focus on energy transition and decarbonization-related technologies. Discussions centered on production efficiency and technological advancements in the sector.

The visit concluded in Gurgaon, where she inaugurated a new Competence Hub facility supporting engineering training and workforce development. The hub includes an internal academy for engineering students, with more than 50% of the current batch comprising women.

The company stated that the visit emphasized its commitment to strengthening manufacturing capabilities and operational efficiency in India.
