Siemens Energy has opened a new office in Bangalore, consolidating its local operations alongside the Siemens Gamesa office. The facility also houses the company’s Industrial Gas Turbine Service Centre, which provides services for its installed fleet in India, including full machine overhauls.

The site includes a Global Engineering Centre for the company’s Transformation of Industry business, covering electrification, automation, and digitalisation. According to Guilherme Mendonca, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Energy India, the centre is equipped with engineering teams and laboratories to develop technologies aimed at supporting industrial decarbonisation. “With highly capable engineers and advanced labs, the Centre will develop cutting-edge technologies to accelerate the decarbonization of the industry directly from India to the World,” Mendonca said.

Siemens Energy is a global energy technology company offering products, solutions, and services across power generation, transmission, and industrial applications. In India, its operations span manufacturing, engineering, project execution, and service support.

Siemens Energy’s operations in India have seen significant developments in recent years. In 2025, Siemens Energy India became an independent entity following a demerger from Siemens Limited and is now listed separately on Indian stock exchanges, reflecting a strategic focus on energy solutions within the country.

The company provides sustainable energy solutions, including grid technologies, transmission products, and renewable energy systems. It announced a INR 4.6 billion investment to expand its Kalwa transformer manufacturing plant, which will double production capacity and support the production of high-voltage transformers for power transmission and renewable energy integration in India.

Siemens Energy India employs over 4,200 professionals across ten factories and eleven regional offices, serving India as well as neighbouring countries such as Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. Its business segments include power transmission and generation, with revenue growth driven by both domestic and export markets.

Financial results for 2025 showed significant increases in orders, revenue, and profits, including a 36% rise in net profit for the quarter ended March 2025 and strong performance in the third quarter. The company continues to support India’s energy transition through grid modernization, industrial decarbonisation, and the expansion of manufacturing capacity to meet growing demand.

Under the leadership of CEO Guilherme Vieira De Mendonca, Siemens Energy India has reinforced its focus on expanding its footprint in the country. The company operates local service centres, such as the Industrial Gas Turbine Service Centre, alongside high-tech R&D and manufacturing facilities to support India’s energy infrastructure. These efforts reflect a strategic approach to strengthening its presence and capabilities in India, positioning Siemens Energy India as a key participant in the country’s transition towards a more resilient and sustainable energy system.
