Sharika Enterprises Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Russia-based Engineering Center Energoservice (ENS) to introduce power system monitoring solutions in India. Under the agreement, Sharika Enterprises will have exclusive rights to market and distribute ENS’s grid protection and condition monitoring technologies, including transformer monitoring systems.

ENS’s transformer condition monitoring systems utilize synchrophasor measurements to provide real-time data and analytics, helping to minimize operational risks and prevent downtime in power grids. The partnership also includes the deployment of Wide Area Monitoring Systems (WAMS), which use Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) and real-time monitoring units (RTUs) to stabilize power grids.

As part of the collaboration, discussions are underway for setting up a manufacturing facility in India through either technology transfer or a joint venture. This facility would localize ENS’s digital power solutions for Indian utilities.

According to a statement in the press release, Rajinder Kaul, Chairman and Managing Director of Sharika Enterprises, described the partnership as an opportunity to enhance India’s power grid infrastructure with advanced digital solutions. Fleyshman Igor L., General Director at ENS, stated that Sharika Enterprises’ experience in the Indian power sector makes it a suitable partner for implementing these technologies.

The MoU was signed in the presence of senior representatives from both companies.
