Tembo Defence Products Private Limited, a subsidiary of Tembo Global Industries Limited, has signed an agreement with the Government of Maharashtra to invest INR 10 billion in defence manufacturing. The investment aims to enhance the state’s production capabilities and is expected to create 300 new jobs.
The agreement was formalized at a signing ceremony attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shabbir Merchant, Director of Tembo Global Industries Ltd.
Tembo Defence Products has also been invited to showcase its technologies at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Sanjay J. Patel, Managing Director of Tembo Global Industries Limited, stated: “This USD 120 million investment will enhance our defence manufacturing capabilities and create a substantial number of employment opportunities in the region. Our participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos highlights the global recognition of Tembo Defence Products and our contributions to the sector.”
Tembo Global Industries, established in 2010, manufactures metal components for industrial and commercial applications, including pipe support systems, fasteners, and HVAC equipment. In 2024, the company expanded into defence manufacturing and solar power production.
The investment aligns with efforts to strengthen the state’s defence manufacturing sector and increase local employment opportunities.
