BiomatiQ Group has opened a new automated manufacturing facility in Hyderabad to produce microbiological media and laboratory products. The plant, which began operations on April 16, 2025, will focus on manufacturing Ready-to-Use (RTU) microbiological media plates and laboratory essentials for regulated environments such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and research sectors.
The facility includes a fully automated Grade A aseptic filling line, ISO-certified GMP-compliant zones, and in-house microbiology and quality control laboratories. The production setup features automated processes such as plate loading, gamma label application, triple wrapping, batch incubation, and visual inspection. These measures are intended to maintain consistent product quality and meet regulatory standards, including 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
According to BiomatiQ Group, the infrastructure is scalable and designed for sustainable production with minimal human intervention. Rakesh Aggarwal, CEO of BiomatiQ Group, said, “The commissioning of this facility is more than an expansion—it’s a commitment. A commitment to quality, to our partners, and to the advancement of scientific manufacturing in India.”
The facility also houses a contract laboratory that offers microbial testing services using Rapid Microbiological Methods (RMM) and a training and experience center for life science professionals.
The inauguration ceremony included the participation of company officials and partners such as K.V.G.K. Raju, Pavan Kumar, Natarajan, Jean-Francois Jochim of Biokar Diagnostics, Rakesh Aggarwal, and Omkaranath B.
