Airbornics Defence & Space (ADSL), the defence division of JCBL Group, has signed a manufacturing partnership with Slovakia for co-development and production of combat vehicle systems in India. The agreement covers technologies for light tanks, future-ready combat vehicles (FRCVs), and future infantry combat vehicles (FICVs).
Under the partnership, ADSL will focus on the domestic production of turrets, active protection systems (APS), remote-controlled weapon systems (RCWS), and human-machine interface (HMI) modules. All manufacturing is scheduled to take place within India.
The collaboration, which coincided with the official visit of Indian President Droupadi Murmu to Slovakia, marks the first defence-related memorandum of understanding between the two countries.
According to ADSL, the partnership aims to enable technology transfer and joint development of systems suited for diverse terrains, including high-altitude conditions. The agreement is also expected to support future defence exports through a combination of Slovakia’s technology and India’s production capabilities.
“This partnership signifies more than just a business agreement. It represents a convergence of trust, technology, and transformation,” said Rishi Aggarwal, Managing Director of JCBL Group.
