Watlow Electric Manufacturing Company has opened a new facility in Bengaluru, India, to advance its thermal solutions offerings. The office, which opened on April 3, 2025, is positioned in Rathi Legacy-Rohan Tech Park and aims to enhance the company’s capabilities in product development, customer support, and market research. This expansion complements Watlow’s existing presence in Chennai, where the company has been operating since 2021.
The Bengaluru facility will focus on supporting India’s semiconductor industry with thermal system engineering, heater prototyping, and verification testing. These services will allow Watlow to offer faster response times and more personalized service to its Indian customers, as stated by CEO Rob Gilmore.
Additionally, the office will house an R&D team dedicated to driving innovation in thermal management solutions, energy efficiency, and sustainability. The site will also focus on developing smart factory solutions for industries implementing Industry 4.0 technologies, aiming to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
Watlow is actively recruiting skilled professionals in fields such as engineering, R&D, design, and business development, with nearly 30 employees already at the Bengaluru office. The company plans continued expansion in the region.
