Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd., a railway and infrastructure manufacturing company, has received an order worth INR 1.41 billion from the Ministry of Railways for the supply of Flat Multi-Purpose (FMP) wagons. The company’s total order book value now stands at INR 71.15 billion.

The FMP wagons are designed to handle various types of cargo, including ISO containers (either one 40-foot or two 20-foot), loaded or empty trucks through Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) operations, and military vehicles. These wagons aim to enhance the efficiency and adaptability of freight transportation across sectors such as defence, steel, and logistics.
