West Coast Optilinks, a division of West Coast Paper Mills Limited, has commenced commercial production at its new optical fiber manufacturing facility located at Fab City, Rangareddy, Telangana. The facility was launched on April 30, 2025, and is intended to enhance the company’s backward integration capabilities.

The new plant uses equipment sourced from European suppliers and is part of the company’s broader capacity expansion efforts. According to the company, this development follows the doubling of its optical fiber cable production capacity in the previous year, and is expected to support both domestic and export requirements by supplying raw fiber to its cable manufacturing units.

West Coast Optilinks stated, “With this launch and last year’s doubling of our Optical Fiber Cable capacity, we’re now well-positioned to meet the fiber requirements for our existing cable manufacturing units—setting the stage for robust, future-ready growth.”

West Coast Optilinks manufactures optical fiber and optical fiber cables for telecommunications and data transmission networks. It operates as a division of West Coast Paper Mills Limited, part of the S.K. Bangur Group.
