The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has awarded a contract for the construction of six Maintenance cum Technology Centres in Gujarat, as part of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project. The contract is valued at INR 3.85 billion, excluding GST.
These centres are intended to support the operational and maintenance needs of the high-speed rail network currently under development. They will be located at six separate sites across Gujarat. The scope of the contract includes both the design and construction of the facilities.
The work has been awarded to a joint venture between SSC Infrastructure Private Limited and Capacit’e Infraprojects Limited. SSC Infrastructure holds a 60% stake in the joint venture, while Capacit’e holds 40%.
The project represents a step toward establishing the necessary infrastructure to maintain and manage high-speed rail operations in India. According to the companies involved, the work has been received in the regular course of business and forms part of ongoing civil infrastructure activities.
Capacit’e Infraprojects Limited is a construction firm engaged in building residential, commercial, and institutional projects. It provides services for high-rise buildings, mass housing, office spaces, healthcare facilities, and industrial structures.
