Nibe Ltd, a manufacturer of engineering products, has received a purchase order valued at INR 233.3 million from a domestic infrastructure and defence company. The order is for the supply of Armour Plate MIL12560 (ARMOUR) and is scheduled for phased execution, with completion expected by May 31, 2026.
The company stated that the purchase order does not involve any related party transactions and there is no interest from Nibe Ltd’s promoter group in the awarding entity. The order is a domestic contract.
Armour plates, such as the MIL12560 grade, are manufactured through a process that typically involves the selection of high-hardness steel alloys, followed by controlled heating and quenching to achieve the required toughness and ballistic resistance.
The steel is rolled into plates of precise thickness, then subjected to heat treatment cycles to ensure consistent hardness. Rigorous testing is conducted to verify that the plates meet specified ballistic performance standards.
Nibe Ltd is engaged in the manufacturing of various engineering products, including solutions for industrial, defence, and infrastructure applications. The company operates from its facility in Chakan, Pune.
