OnePlus has partnered with Optiemus Electronics to locally manufacture its Internet of Things (IoT) products in India. The collaboration aims to expand domestic production of OnePlus’s IoT portfolio at Optiemus Electronics’ facility in Noida, which is already producing smartphones for the company.
The partnership supports OnePlus’s ongoing localisation efforts in India. Production has begun for the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3, a neckband IoT device, at the Noida facility. The collaboration covers True Wireless Stereo (TWS) products and wireless neckbands designed for various consumer segments.
Optiemus Electronics will provide support to increase bill of materials (BOM) localisation, reduce costs, and strengthen supply chain resilience for OnePlus. According to the company, the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3 offers features such as low latency, immersive bass, and audio clarity.
