JTL Industries, a manufacturer of ERW steel pipes and tubes, is planning to commission a new Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) pipe manufacturing line, adding 300,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) to its total production capacity. The facility will manufacture ASTM and API-grade pipes and is expected to become fully operational within 12 months.

The new line will produce round pipes ranging from 6 inches to 20 inches in diameter (168 mm to 508 mm), square sections from 130 mm x 130 mm to 400 mm x 400 mm, and rectangular sections from 100 mm x 160 mm to 300 mm x 500 mm. The thickness range will span from 4 mm to 16 mm. The expansion is projected to add over 500 new stock-keeping units (SKUs) to JTL’s product portfolio.

This expansion aligns with JTL’s medium-term production targets of reaching 1 million tonnes per annum by FY25 and 2 million tonnes per annum by FY27. The company is also adopting Direct Forming Technology (DFT) to improve manufacturing efficiency and increase SKU variety without requiring roll changes.

JTL Industries operates manufacturing facilities in Punjab, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh, and exports its products to over 20 countries. The latest expansion forms part of a broader capital expenditure plan supported by recent fundraising activities to meet the company’s long-term growth goals.

JTL Industries manufactures ERW steel pipes and tubes, primarily for structural applications in the infrastructure, construction, engineering, and energy sectors. The company is expanding its portfolio to include high-strength and value-added steel pipe offerings.
