Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is opening a new city office in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, as part of its ongoing expansion in the state. The new facility spans 7,000 square feet and is located at ABC EAST, beside Prozone Mall in Chikalthana.
The office was inaugurated by Masakazu Yoshimura, Chairman, MD & CEO of TKM, and Swapnesh Maru, Deputy Managing Director of Corporate Planning, Greenfield Project. This development follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed between TKM and the Government of Maharashtra in July 2024 for establishing a greenfield manufacturing facility in the region.

Looking ahead, we remain committed to bringing world-class manufacturing capabilities to the region—unlocking Marathwada’s potential by creating employment, nurturing skilled talent, and driving inclusive, sustainable growth.” stated Swapnesh Maru.
He added, “With strong government support, we are confident that our presence will serve as a catalyst for regional transformation and aligns with our vision of contributing to India’s industrial development and the national aspiration of Viksit Bharat @2047.”
According to the company, it is working on initiatives to develop the local ecosystem, including industry-relevant skill development programs and support for educational institutions.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor is a joint venture with 89 percent equity held by Toyota Motor Corporation (Japan) and 11 percent by Kirloskar Systems Limited (India). It employs over 6,500 people and operates across approximately 432 acres with an installed annual production capacity of up to 342,000 units.
The company’s first plant, established in 1997 in Bidadi, began production in 1999 and manufactures models such as the Innova HyCross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and Legender, with a capacity of up to 132,000 units. Its second plant, also in Bidadi and operational since 2010, produces the Camry Hybrid, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Hilux, with a capacity of up to 210,000 units. TKM also offers models including the Glanza, Rumion, and Urban Cruiser Taisor, and imports the Vellfire and LC 300 as completely built units.
