Henkel Adhesive Technologies India, a manufacturer of adhesives, sealants, and functional coatings segments, has opened a new automotive warehouse in Chakan, Pune, to support Just-in-Time (JIT) delivery and advanced prototyping needs of automotive manufacturers. Located in one of India’s major automotive hubs, the facility is intended to improve supply chain integration and supplier collaboration.
The warehouse is equipped with SAP-enabled batch traceability, providing visibility into manufacturing and expiry data to enhance material handling and inventory control. It also supports non-standard prototype materials (IDH), aligning with current vehicle development practices.
Designed for scalability, the infrastructure is expected to support Henkel’s operational growth through 2030. The new warehouse complements the company’s manufacturing expansions and is intended to address increasing demand from OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in India’s automotive sector.
