Parker Hannifin, a motion and control technology company, has inaugurated a new cabin air filter assembly line at its Chennai facility on 18 August 2025 in partnership with Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV). Senior leaders from DICV, including President and Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer Michael Moebius and Associate Vice President Jain Nishit, attended the event.

The Chennai facility has been operational since 2012 and supplies components to commercial vehicle manufacturers, including BharatBenz under DICV. The new assembly line is part of Parker Hannifin’s plan to expand its manufacturing capacity and strengthen collaboration with automotive clients in India.

The company develops filtration and motion control technologies adapted for Indian requirements, including emission regulations and emerging technologies such as hydrogen fuel cells and Euro 5/BS-VI standards. Its filtration engineering centre in India works with global research and development teams to meet both local and international original equipment manufacturer demands.

Parker Hannifin has also invested in localisation by establishing manufacturing plants and supply chains in India to support companies such as Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, Volvo-Eicher Commercial Vehicles, and MAN Trucks India, particularly in air and fuel filtration products.
