Advait Greenergy Private Limited has inaugurated its Phase I alkaline electrolyser assembly facility with a capacity of 30 MW in Mehsana, Gujarat, on 13 March 2026. The facility marks the first stage of the company’s plan to establish an integrated manufacturing platform for electrolyser systems used in hydrogen production.

The Phase I facility represents a strategic step toward a 300 MW integrated manufacturing capacity. The initial 30 MW unit is planned to scale to 100 MW in Phase II and later expand into a fully automated 300 MW complex for industrial-grade hydrogen production.

The facility has been designed as a scalable manufacturing platform and is expected to support growing demand for green hydrogen across sectors including fertilisers, refining, steel manufacturing, and heavy transport. The company has indicated that the facility could be expanded beyond the initial capacity, with plans to scale annual electrolyser manufacturing capacity to 100 MW by 2027 and potentially to 1 GW in the longer term.

The project forms part of broader initiatives linked to domestic electrolyser manufacturing. Advait Greenergy has been selected under the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) Production Linked Incentive programme for 300 MW of electrolyser manufacturing capacity and participation in a 100 MW green hydrogen project component.

Advait Energy Transitions Limited, formerly known as Advait Infratech Limited, was among the companies that secured capacity under SECI’s auction to establish 1.5 GW of electrolyser manufacturing capacity across India in August 2024. The company secured 200 MW under the Bucket 1 category and also secured 100 MW with an incentive allocation of INR 1.48 billion.

Beyond electrolyser manufacturing, the company is developing battery energy storage projects and currently has more than 400 MWh of battery energy storage systems under construction. It is also establishing a battery storage manufacturing facility with a planned capacity of 2.5 GWh, which is expected to be commissioned in 2026.

The electrolyser facility aligns with policy initiatives aimed at expanding green hydrogen production in India. The Union Cabinet approved the National Green Hydrogen Mission in 2023 with an initial outlay of INR 197.44 billion to support demand creation, production, utilisation, and export of green hydrogen.

Under the programme, INR 174.9 billion has been allocated to the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) initiative, which provides financial incentives for domestic electrolyser manufacturing and green hydrogen production. The mission targets green hydrogen production capacity of 5 million tonnes per year by 2030, supported by approximately 125 GW of renewable energy capacity and the installation of 60 GW to 100 GW of electrolyser capacity.

Advait Greenergy Private Limited is a subsidiary of Advait Energy Transitions Limited, an India-based company involved in energy transition technologies, including electrolyser manufacturing and battery energy storage systems.
