SJS Enterprises, a supplier of automotive components, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hong Kong-based BOE Varitronix to collaborate on the manufacture of automotive displays in India. The agreement covers technology transfer, localisation of production, and development of critical display components for the four-wheeler segment.

BOE Varitronix will transfer technology to SJS Enterprises for display screen assembly and optical bonding. The partnership also aims to localise production of components such as cover glass and backlight units, contributing to the domestic automotive display supply chain.

The MoU grants both companies mutual exclusivity for six months, with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement. Subject to the outcome of a feasibility study and regulatory approvals, the arrangement may evolve into a Technical Assistance Agreement or a Joint Venture. The agreement has been clarified as a non-related party transaction.

The partnership is intended to position SJS Enterprises to address the increasing demand for advanced in-vehicle display systems in India. The announcement was followed by a rise in the company’s share price, which reached record highs.

SJS Enterprises Limited is a supplier of automotive components and decorative parts, including dials, decals, and electronic components, catering to both domestic and international markets.
