Kongsberg Automotive has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Faridabad, Haryana, relocating operations from its previous plant within the same region. The new site spans approximately 6,947 square meters, an increase from the earlier facility’s 5,946 square meters.

The plant manufactures Drive Control Systems products, including cable gear shifters, steering columns, shift-by-wire shifters, and shift towers. The facility also enables expanded production of Flow Control Systems components. According to the company, this move supports continued supply to existing customers while enabling additional production capacity.

The Faridabad location, in the Greater Delhi area, allows Kongsberg Automotive to maintain workforce continuity and remain close to key customers.

“This relocation represents a significant step in KA’s ongoing journey toward growth and enhanced manufacturing excellence in India,” said Robert Pigg, Executive Vice President of Drive Control Systems.
