Uno Minda Limited, a manufacturer of auto components, has announced the consolidation and relocation of its two-wheeler lighting manufacturing facilities currently operating in Bahadurgarh and Sonipat, Haryana. The company’s board has approved the move to a new site in Kharkhoda, Haryana, with production at the new location expected to commence in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2026–27.
According to the company, the decision aims to address rising demand from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and mitigate inefficiencies associated with operating multiple plants. The new consolidated facility is intended to streamline operations and improve manufacturing efficiency.
Uno Minda has also approved an investment of up to INR 200 million in redeemable preference shares of its subsidiary, UnoMinda EV Systems Private Limited (UMEVS). The decision was taken during the board meeting held on May 21, 2025.
