Uno Minda, a manufacturer of automotive systems and components, has announced plans to establish a new manufacturing facility for two-wheeler alloy wheels in Bawal, Haryana. The proposed facility will have an installed capacity of approximately 1.5 million wheels annually and will support recently acquired orders and increasing market demand. The total investment for the project is INR 2 billion, and operations are expected to begin by the second quarter of 2027.

Simultaneously, Uno Minda has started commercial production at its expanded plant in Supa, Maharashtra. This expansion, first announced in May 2024, adds 2 million wheels of annual production capacity. The company had initially set up its two-wheeler alloy wheel operations at the Supa facility in 2021 with a capacity of 4 million wheels, which has since doubled to 8 million units.

With the addition of the Bawal plant, Uno Minda’s total installed capacity for two-wheeler alloy wheels will rise to approximately 9.5 million units per year.

Uno Minda Limited, founded in 1958, manufactures automotive systems and components for various vehicle categories, including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and two- and three-wheelers. Its operations span internal combustion and electric/hybrid platforms. The company has 74 manufacturing facilities across multiple countries and maintains 37 R&D and engineering centres globally.
