Uno Minda, a manufacturer of auto components, has inaugurated a new greenfield plant for manufacturing four-wheeler alloy wheels in Kharkhoda, Haryana. The plant represents a strategic expansion of the company’s automotive manufacturing capabilities.

The new plant follows the recent relocation of its 2W lighting manufacturing plants from Bahadurgarh and Sonipat to the same location, expected to begin operations by Q4 FY 2026-27.

The inauguration event was attended by Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, along with senior delegates from the company. The plant aims to support increasing demand in the mobility sector and expand Uno Minda’s supply capabilities for domestic automotive manufacturers.

Uno Minda, established in 1958, manufactures and supplies automotive components and systems across over 25 product categories. Its offerings serve vehicles in all segments, including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and two- and three-wheelers, with products for both internal combustion engine and electric/hybrid platforms.

The company operates 74 manufacturing facilities across India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Germany, Spain, and Mexico, supported by 37 R&D and engineering centres in countries including India, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and Spain. Uno Minda has 19 joint ventures and technical collaborations with partners from Germany, Japan, Korea, and China.
