Cultraro Group, an Italian manufacturer of dampers and motion control systems, has opened a new production facility in Faridabad, India, as part of its ongoing expansion. The facility was inaugurated on May 6 and will support the company’s manufacturing operations in the region.

The opening event was attended by Paolo Cultraro, CEO of Cultraro, along with representatives from Stabilus, including Thorsten Schell, Karsten Sander, and Satish Patel, CEO of Stabilus India. The facility is now open to customer visits, and several clients have scheduled tours in the coming days.

The new manufacturing facility includes injection molding lines, assembly lines, and test and inspection operations.

Cultraro has been operational in India since 2013 through Cultraro Autocomp Solutions Private Limited, which is the company’s largest manufacturing facility globally. In 2024, Cultraro Dampers India Private Limited was incorporated as a subsidiary of the foreign parent company.

Cultraro had acquired Firs Stampi in 2016, a manufacturer of injection mold tooling and special mechanical process components, to be more vertically integrated. Koblenz-based Stabilus S.A. acquired a 32 percent stake in Cultraro Automazione Engineering S.r.l. in 2021.

In 2024, Stabilus increased its ownership in Cultraro to 60 percent. Cultraro is now part of the Stabilus Group and continues to operate as a standalone brand under the Stabilus umbrella.

Cultraro specializes in the production of dampers and motion control systems, including rotary dampers, hinge dampers, linear dampers, push-push latches, and related technologies. The company operates its headquarters in Rivoli, Italy, and maintains additional facilities in the United States and China.
