Stephenson Gobin, a UK-based manufacturer of electromagnetic brakes, clutches, and safety products, has opened a new 20,000 sq ft manufacturing plant in Attibele, Karnataka, near Bangalore. The facility will produce electromagnetic brakes, clutches, and fire door safety products, expanding the company’s production capacity to meet demand from international customers.
The site is equipped with assembly lines for specific product ranges, a laser marking cell, an inspection clean room, and office space with a conference room. According to the company, the production processes mirror those at its UK site.
At the inauguration, the company conducted a traditional Puja blessing ceremony with employees. “We’re excited about building our presence in India, optimising our manufacturing on a global scale, and enhancing the future of industrial operations in this growing market,” said Andy Collinson, CEO of Stephenson Gobin.
