Teconnex India has inaugurated a new heatshield manufacturing line at its facility in Chakan Industrial Area, Pune. The new line will produce multilayer thermal insulation shields used in vehicle exhaust aftertreatment systems.
Heatshields help reduce radiant heat transfer from exhaust components such as diesel particulate filters, diesel oxidation catalysts, and selective catalytic reduction units. They also protect wiring, sensors, and fuel and brake lines from thermal damage while maintaining optimal operating temperatures inside catalytic elements for emissions control. The products are designed to support compliance with emission standards including BS6, Euro 6, BS7, and Euro 7.
A spokesperson for the company stated, “With this new line, Teconnex India is now equipped to support our global customers with world-class localized heatshield solutions, strengthening our position as a trusted partner for complete exhaust and thermal systems.”
