Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited is strengthening its domestic manufacturing operations following a 25 percent year-on-year rise in its order backlog to INR 18.05 billion as of 30 September 2025. The company’s new orders for the first half of FY2025–26 totalled INR 17.49 billion, marking a 28 percent increase from the previous year, supported by strong demand from utilities, data centres, and renewable energy developers.

Sales for the first half stood at INR 12.72 billion, up 6.6 percent year-on-year, while second-quarter revenue rose 8.4 percent to INR 6.50 billion. The company reported an EBIT margin of 11.6 percent for the half year and 12.5 percent for the quarter, reflecting steady operational performance amid higher material and employee costs.

The company is expanding its local manufacturing portfolio under its Make in India strategy, producing air-insulated and gas-insulated switchgear, transformers, control relay panels, and substation automation systems at its Vadodara facility in Gujarat. The plant recently received the Golden Peacock Award for ESG 2025, highlighting progress in sustainable operations and supply chain efficiency.

During the period, Schneider Electric Infrastructure secured one of the largest data centre orders in 2025 from a global cloud service provider, along with substation and automation contracts for major Indian utilities. It also won locomotive breaker orders for railway electrification projects and secured cybersecurity and compact substation systems for semiconductor and renewable energy customers.

The company said it is focusing on expanding its manufacturing and execution capacity to address demand in the power grid, data infrastructure, and mobility sectors. Future plans include deeper localisation of components, enhanced digital integration of production lines, and continued development of products for energy transition and grid modernisation.

Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited, part of France-based Schneider Electric Group, designs and manufactures equipment and solutions for power distribution, grid automation, and industrial electrification across India and export markets.
