Stallion India Fluorochemicals Limited has entered into a strategic technology tie-up with Portugal-based SYS Advance to collaborate on helium recovery and liquefaction systems, as part of its expansion into advanced industrial gas technologies. The agreement takes the form of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation and joint working and is aimed at addressing demand from space, defence and high-precision industrial applications.

The technology tie-up covers advanced systems and equipment for helium recovery and helium liquefaction applications. Helium is a critical input for cryogenic and space-related uses, and recovery and recycling have gained importance due to limited global availability.

SYS Advance is an industrial gas equipment manufacturer specialising in containerised helium recovery systems. According to the filing, the company’s technology has been qualified by European space agencies for space and high-end cryogenic applications, and SYS Advance has more than 4,000 pressure swing adsorption systems operating worldwide across over 40 countries and multiple industries.

“Our strategic technology tie-up with SYS ADVANCE, Portugal, marks a significant milestone in Stallion’s journey towards building high-end capabilities in Helium Recovery and Helium Liquefaction systems,” said Shazad Rustomji, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Stallion India Fluorochemicals Limited. “This strategic collaboration enables Stallion to access cutting-edge, proven Helium Recovery and Liquefaction technologies required for space, defense, and high-precision industrial applications,” he said.

Rustomji added that helium recycling is becoming increasingly important for space and cryogenic applications and that Stallion is engaging with the Indian Space Research Organisation on long-term support for helium recovery and liquefaction. “In this context, Stallion is actively working with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for long-term support in Helium Recovery and Liquefaction, aimed at recycling and liquefying helium used in space applications,” he said. “We have also participated in a large tender floated by ISRO, and whichever company is awarded the project would be among the premier technology providers for Helium Recovery and Liquefaction systems in India,” he added.

The company stated that the technology collaboration forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen its asset base and diversify its product portfolio by expanding into advanced gas technologies. It also reiterated its medium-term growth guidance included in the filing.

“Supported by this expansion into advanced gas technologies, a strengthening asset base, and a diversified product portfolio, we believe we are well positioned to achieve a 3-year revenue CAGR guidance of 30–35 percent, creating sustainable long-term value for all stakeholders,” Rustomji said.
