TVS Srichakra Limited approved a capital investment of up to INR 2.1 billion to expand capacity at its manufacturing unit in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. The decision was taken by the company’s board of directors at a meeting held on 17 January 2026, and the investment is intended to support higher production of two-wheeler and three-wheeler tyres.

The investment will be directed towards capacity addition at Unit-2 of its Rudrapur facility. The proposed expansion is scheduled to be completed in the first half of the 2027–28 financial year.

The Rudrapur unit currently has an installed capacity of approximately 9.2 million to 9.5 million tyres per annum. Capacity utilisation at the facility is estimated at about 80 to 85 percent. The approved expansion is expected to increase capacity by around 40 to 45 percent over the existing level once fully operational.

TVS Srichakra stated that the investment will be financed through a combination of internal accruals and debt. The filing did not provide further details on the project structure, specific equipment additions, or a phased expenditure schedule associated with the capacity expansion.

The company said the rationale for the investment is to address growing demand for its two-wheeler and three-wheeler tyre products. The disclosure did not include information on potential employment impact or changes to the product portfolio following the expansion.

TVS Srichakra Limited manufactures tyres primarily for two-wheelers and three-wheelers and markets its products under the Eurogrip brand, with manufacturing operations located in multiple parts of India.
