Gorlan India inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, marking an expansion phase for the Gorlan Group’s operations in India. The development transitions the company from its established 26-year presence in the country into a larger-scale manufacturing hub focused on low-voltage switchgear production and exports.

The inauguration was led by Jose Julio Gómez Barbero, President of the Spanish-based Gorlan Group; Roberto Delgado Tarancón, General Manager of Telergon, the group’s low-voltage switchgear specialist; Rajini Varadarajan, Director of Gorlan India; and Mariasundaram Antony (AS), Chief Executive Officer of Gorlan India.

The new facility is designed to meet global manufacturing standards and scale production across the group’s core product lines. The company manufactures low-voltage switchgear solutions including rotary cam switches, breaker control switches, AC switch disconnectors, and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) for power continuity applications.

The company produces the TFV series DC switch disconnectors for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, rated from 16A to 50A at 1000V DC and up to 60A in specific configurations. It also manufactures the S7 series DC switch disconnector, rated up to 500A at 1500V DC, designed for high-demand applications.

Gorlan India operates with an export-oriented approach, supplying components manufactured in India to more than 100 countries where the Gorlan Group has a presence.

Gorlan India focuses on the design and manufacture of low-voltage switchgear products for industrial and renewable energy applications, operating as part of the Spain-based Gorlan Group.
