Tychon Global Systems Private Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish an ammunition manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi district, Tamil Nadu. The project involves an investment of INR 5 billion and is expected to generate 550 jobs, strengthening the state’s defence manufacturing ecosystem.

The proposed unit will undertake end-to-end production of 30 mm and 40 mm ammunition. Manufacturing activities will include precision machining, cartridge fabrication, fuze integration and ballistic testing, catering to domestic and international markets. The company will execute the project in partnership with a global manufacturer with integrated production capabilities.

Tychon Global Systems Private Limited was incorporated on 21 February 2024 and is registered in Chennai. The company has an authorised capital of INR 100 million and a paid-up capital of INR 50 million.

The directors of Tychon Global Systems include Abraham Reji Abraham, Kavya Anna Abraham, and Ananthanarayanan Peruvemba Narayanaswamy. The company is part of the Aban Group, which is best known for Aban Offshore, described an Indian private offshore drilling contractor. Tychon operates from a registered office in Nungambakkam, Chennai, which it shares with other Aban Group entities.
