Quality Power Electrical Equipments Ltd. has announced plans to set up a new coil manufacturing facility in Kupwad MIDC, Sangli, Maharashtra. The project is part of the company’s strategic expansion to meet growing global demand for high-voltage reactors and coil-based components used in HVDC, STATCOM, and FACTS systems.
The new plant will include 44 winding lines and a high-voltage testing laboratory. It is being developed in compliance with Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Platinum certification standards.
The construction is being executed in collaboration with Arwade Infrastructure Ltd, Kirby Building Systems, and Electromech, covering civil, structural, and material handling systems. Machinery for cable manufacturing, aligned with Quality Power’s reverse integration strategy, has been ordered and is scheduled for commissioning on an expedited timeline.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Nagesh Tilwani, Managing Director of Hyosung T&D India, acknowledged Quality Power’s contribution to local manufacturing development.
As part of its corporate social responsibility programme, Quality Power donated INR 1 million to the Rotary Club to support a Mobile Eye Care Van for diabetic retinopathy screening in rural areas of Maharashtra.
