Toppan Speciality Films, a Japan-based company engaged in printing, packaging, and advanced materials, has inaugurated its sixth production line at its Punjab facility dedicated to manufacturing biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) and polyethylene (BOPE) film structures. These materials are used in mono-material packaging solutions designed to support recyclability and circular economy principles.

The additional capacity is aimed at expanding the company’s production of flexible packaging materials with a focus on recyclable applications. BOPE structures, in particular, are compatible with sustainable packaging formats and are increasingly in demand for their ease of recycling.

The new line is expected to serve both domestic and international markets, enhancing Toppan’s ability to meet growing requirements for environmentally responsible packaging solutions.

A ceremony marking the inauguration included traditional rituals and was attended by senior executives from the Toppan Group, including Hiroyuki Fujii and Tazuko Adachi, along with company leadership and staff.

Toppan Speciality Films operates as a subsidiary of Toppan Group, a Japan-based multinational engaged in printing, packaging, and advanced materials. The company continues to invest in infrastructure and product innovation to support its sustainability goals, including improved plastic recyclability and waste reduction.
