Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) has inaugurated a Vehicle Dynamics and Testing (VD&T) facility at the National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX) in Indore. The facility is intended to support the company’s expansion into the on-road tyre segment, including passenger car radial, commercial vehicle radial, and two-wheeler tyres.
The VD&T base is equipped with testing machinery and supported by a research and development team to conduct tyre validation under real-world conditions. This capability will assist in developing products for both the original equipment and replacement markets.

Our entry into the consumer space is guided by a clear commitment: developing tyres that users can trust for safety, comfort, mileage, and reliability on every journey. The establishment of dedicated VD&T base at NATRAX marks a pivotal step in our journey to deliver world-class tyres across segments,” said Satish Sharma, Senior President and Director – Business Development and Strategy at BKT.
“This facility empowers us to simulate real-world conditions and rigorously test our products for performance, safety, and durability. The NATRAX infrastructure enables testing across a range of conditions, including ride and handling, braking, durability, and varied terrain.
