The facility is part of VECV’s Industry 4.0-compliant plant in Bhopal and features an all-women final assembly line. The first deliveries follow the recent launch of the Eicher Pro X small truck at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
According to a press release from VECV, the inauguration was attended by Martin Lundstedt, President and CEO of Volvo Group; Siddhartha Lal, Chairman of Eicher Motors and VECV Board Member; Sofia Frändberg, Chairperson of VECV; and Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO of VECV.
VECV stated that the new facility is intended to support the evolving logistics sector in India, with a focus on small commercial vehicles designed for last-mile delivery operations. The company also highlighted the inclusion of an all-women assembly line as part of its approach to manufacturing.
