Facility to be completed by September 2025

South Korea-based camera module inspection equipment supplier HyVision System conducted the ground breaking ceremony for its new facility near Foxconn’s facility in Devanahalli, Bengaluru. HyVision is investing INR 40 Cr to set up a camera inspection machine plant near the Foxconn unit in Devanahalli.

The ceremony was conducted in the presence of David Choi, C.E.O Hyvision System Inc and other representatives of the company. Hyvision has deployed staff to oversee project management. The facility is expected to be ready by September this year. The company has already begun recruiting local talent from the pool of Indian students studying at South Korean universities.

HyVision System specializes in image processing, signal processing, and motion control, developing and supplying camera modules, ToF/LiDAR inspection systems, vision inspection solutions, AOI, secondary battery technologies, and smart components (EdgeCom). It serves major clients, including Apple, Tesla, Hyundai, and Kia.

Foxconn acquired 300 acres of land in the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) at Doddaballapur, Devanahalli Taluk, for INR 3 billion to establish a new manufacturing facility. HyVision’s proximity to this site enhances supply chain efficiency, reducing lead times for critical components.

Foxconn’s high-volume manufacturing requires a steady supply of components. Suppliers looking to secure contracts with Foxconn may relocate to reduce lead times and improve responsiveness.

HyVision’s presence near the Foxconn complex could attract other suppliers (cluster effect) to establish operations in the area, for better integration and cost savings.
