Zelio E-Mobility Limited has increased its total installed production capacity for electric vehicles from 72,000 units per annum to 180,000 units per annum and commenced operations at a new manufacturing facility in Odisha.

The expansion includes capacity enhancement at its existing facility in Ladwa, Hisar, Haryana, and the commissioning of a new plant in Odisha. The installed capacity at the Ladwa facility has been increased from 72,000 units per annum to 120,000 units per annum through process-level optimisation, including installation of an extended conveyor belt and additional machinery, with minimal incremental capital expenditure.

The Odisha plant contributes an incremental capacity of 60,000 units per annum and is engaged in the manufacturing and assembly of electric vehicles. Commercial production at the plant commenced on 23 February 2026 at 4:30 P.M. The proposed capacity addition of 108,000 units per annum has been completed and is effective from the same date.

The company reported existing capacity utilisation of approximately 85 percent for the financial year 2025–26, as projected. The expansion is financed through internal accruals and/or existing resources, with minimal incremental capital expenditure at the existing plant and investment in the Odisha facility undertaken as per the approved capital expenditure plan.

The company stated that the enhanced capacity and commissioning of the Odisha facility are expected to contribute positively to operational performance, including increased production capacity, regional supply efficiency, logistics optimisation, and enhanced operating leverage.
