Hindustan Zinc Limited signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CMR Green Technologies Ltd. on 10 March 2026 to establish a zinc alloy manufacturing facility in Rajasthan. The project will be located at Zinc Park, an industrial hub developed to support downstream zinc-based industrial applications.

CMR Green Technologies will set up the unit to produce zinc alloys for sectors including automotive, infrastructure, die-casting, and consumer goods. This agreement represents the second partnership for the Zinc Park ecosystem, following an earlier arrangement with Tripura Group.

Zinc Park is a joint development between Hindustan Zinc and the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO). The facility is situated near existing operations in Chanderiya, Dariba, and Debari to secure raw material supply and logistics. The park is designed to operate as a hub powered by renewable energy for various manufacturing enterprises.

The planned facility aims to address domestic and international demand for zinc alloys while incorporating metal recovery processes. Recycled metal production at such facilities can result in emissions up to 95 percent lower than primary metal production. The partnership is intended to foster a downstream industrial cluster focused on galvanising, die-casting, and zinc oxide production.

“Zinc Park is a strategic vision to drive industrial growth, local manufacturing, and sustainability through zinc-based applications,” said Arun Misra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc. “We are pleased to welcome CMR Green Technologies as a partner in this journey. Their capabilities in alloy production will play a pivotal role in building a zinc ecosystem.”

Hindustan Zinc Limited, a Vedanta Group company, is an integrated producer of zinc and silver with operations based in India. The organisation supplies products to more than 40 countries and maintains a majority share of the primary zinc market in India.
