Bharat Forge Limited inaugurated a landing gear components machining facility in Mundhwa, Pune on 11 March 2026, developed in collaboration with Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS. The facility is designed to manufacture high-precision landing gear components for aerospace applications and forms part of the company’s aerospace manufacturing operations.

The facility integrates advanced machining centres dedicated to landing gear components. The company said the development supports its participation in aerospace manufacturing supply chains and expands its machining capabilities for aerospace systems. The facility features a Starrag Droop+Rein FOGS high-speed, 5-axis overhead gantry milling machine.

Bharat Forge said its aerospace division manufactures components across aero-engine systems, airframe structures, and landing-gear sub-systems used in civil and military aviation. The company produces turbine and compressor parts, forged rings, shafts, discs, and structural and landing gear elements for aircraft programmes.

Bharat Forge also said it is setting up an aerospace ring mill in India to produce forged rings for aero-engine programmes.
