Bharat Forge Ltd. and Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS have announced a collaboration to establish a manufacturing facility in Pune, India, aimed at producing aerospace components. The facility is expected to be operational in 2025.
The plant will include a ring mill and advanced machining capabilities for manufacturing landing gear components. The investment is part of Bharat Forge’s expansion into aerospace manufacturing, supporting Liebherr’s supply chain.
Guru Biswal, Aerospace CEO at Bharat Forge Ltd., stated that the collaboration focuses on precision-engineered components for the aerospace sector. Alex Vlielander, Chief Customer Officer at Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS, highlighted the partnership’s role in meeting aerospace industry standards and strengthening supply chain capabilities.
The announcement was made during Aero India 2025.
