Coke oven batteries are industrial installations comprising interconnected ovens designed to convert metallurgical coal into coke through high-temperature carbonisation. These systems heat coal in oxygen-free chambers at temperatures ranging from 1,000 to 1,200 degrees Celsius over 15 to 30 hours, producing coke used in blast furnaces, while also generating byproducts such as coal gas, ammonia, and tar.
Simplex Castings Limited is an India-based precision metallurgy company with manufacturing facilities including a cast iron foundry and a heavy engineering and fabrication plant.
